With a career that spans 29 years, Sarah Laidlaw has an adaptable high fashion style for which she has become widely known. Her work could be defined as classic beauty with an editorial edge. With an impressive skill set that encompasses the entire range, Sarah is highly adaptable. Her extensive and detailed training has allowed her the freedom to work across editorial fashion, advertising, film, television and celebrity. Sarah’s strengths in both hair and makeup have cemented her as one of the most sought-after talents in the industry. She has been awarded Australia’s prestigious Session Stylist of the Year title an impressive five times - Hair Expo Session Stylist of the Year in 2018, 2017, 2011 and 2010; and AHFA Session Stylist of the Year in 2014. She also took out the coveted MAGAP Australian Makeup Artist of the Year for 2018 and the AHFA Makeup Artist of the Year title for 2017. She is the current NSW Makeup Artist of the Year for 2019. She received the Session Stylist of the Year and the Makeup Artist of the Year titles in the same year, two years running. She is also the Makeup And Hair Director for Priceline and the Hair Editor for Australian Beauty publication Laud Magazine. Sarah effortlessly walks the line between commercial polish and editorial strength and is equally in her element creating subtle, minimal looks to radical transformations. “The transformative ability of hair and makeup is what excites me! Sarah’s work has been seen in international advertising campaigns such as L’Oreal Paris, TRESemmé, Coppertone Japan, Garnier, Dove, Westfield, Diet Coke, Impulse, Toshiba, Joico, Nivea Japan, as well as a long list of Australian brands and fashion labels. Her experience as a hair stylist for television is also worth noting. In addition to working on popular shows X Factor, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and The Voice Kids, she has also worked on a 22 year span of music videos and television commercials.
